Hi everyone! I'm planning a 1 month trip to Japan and considering it will be the first time visiting the country, it would be great to get recommendations on routes/itineraries and 'must do's.
Obviously theres so much to see and do but I don't want to be hopping around every few days so just want the ideal 1 month route where you're not rushing through spots.
I'm just looking for recommendations of places to go and itineraries from anyone who has visited before - I am keeping up to date myself about entry requirements etc!
Where should I go when I go to Japan?
Which month are you planning to visit? and what's your budgets like for a month?
Even for myself as a Japanese, it's been difficult to go back to the country with many documents and apps, but I know it always makes us happy to plan trips.

Hiroshima, cycling around mt Fuji & staying in a traditional guesthouse, and miyajima island were stand-out places on our 2-week typical tourist city route. Next time I’d like to see the more rural/nature side and visit the north.
Is Japan currently fully open? My understanding is that you can go but you have to have your itinerary planned by a tour agency. So while you can travel without a guide, you still have to have them plan it for you. Wondering if anyone can confirm this or have any updated information
