We have 6 puppies we plan to give away to good home of friends and family. I need to vaccinate them.

Or want to anyways. I’m researching it. If I give vaccines at 6 weeks they’ll need a dose every two to four weeks. Older than 16 weeks the vaccine is reduced to one to two. Also I found a vaccine that includes multiple vaccines in one with 25 doses.

I don’t know what to do.

We haven’t announced that the dogs are available really. Been a lot going on. So I don’t know what I should do.

Don’t buy vaccines from anywhere but a vet. Some vets will let you buy vaccines and do them at home cheaper. We do that for all vaccines except for rabies vaccine. That one needs to be done by a vet. Also get dewormer from a vet. Using over the counter dewormer doesn’t work for all worm types.

Don't miss: I have a five and a half month old bernadoodle – My concern is about vaccines

Don’t do the vaccines yourself. These puppies need to see a vet for a proper check over before giving the vaccines. Vaccines have to be stored appropriately to be effective and you can’t guarantee that when buying online / from a store.

We used this and our vet told us 1 at 6 weeks one at 9 weeks and a 3rd at 16 weeks.. but you may check with a vet in your area and ask..

An less expensive route is SPCA. If giving them away and money is tight maybe have the new owners take care of having them done.
