I have a large square 8 seat table and have trouble finding tablecloths to fit

I had a square table too, and if you do not or cannot sew you may find large round tablecloths do the job very well.

I think I still have two natural colour ones from when I had a square table.

My table is 150cmx150cm I buy Damask from Spotlight and hem it myself. They may have to order it in for you.

Get a really nice king quilt cover, that you like. Use the back as backing to help stop spills going through to table.

I purchased fabric from spotlight and had it hemmed after years of trying to find something suitable. The fabric in the quilting section is wider with lots of options.
