Any of the Michigan coast towns along the shores of Lake Michigan. Seriously the prettiest beaches I’ve seen outside of the Caribbean.

Take a flight to Seattle. Rent a car and go up to Olympia. Catch the ferry at Port Angeles to Victoria. Vancouver Island is great.

Fellow Austinite, we have been traveling Wyoming, South Dakota and now are in Colorado. Wonderful weather throughout. You can fly to Denver cheap, drive up to Grand Teton and Yellowstone, across to the Black Hills and come back down into RMNP.

Don't miss: Can anyone please recommend who to fly with to Colorado?

I have a large master en-suite with west facing balcony, available in a nice house in Carlsbad, CA—north county San Diego. I’m a high energy, active senior woman who travels quite a bit. No smoking or pets please. If you’re looking for a place to settle in for a couple of months (or longer), this is a great location and a very nice 2 story house in a cul de sac. Please private message me for more info.

You can check also: My friend and I are heading to San Diego at the end of May. I am looking for ideas that are off the beaten path

San Francisco. It’s been chilly here! My niece lives in Austin and has been staying here for two weeks and loving missing the heat. You can do a drive from SF down to Santa Cruz and Carmel area.

The Finger Lakes are amazing in the summer. There's a reason it used to be a resort area. Syracuse is the best place to fly into to get there.

Returning tomorrow from Wilmington NC Wrightsville Beach. Beautiful weather. Arrived at 79 degrees. Now 78 partly cloudy. Last minute tix to Raleigh one way on American. Returning on Delta to get tix under 500. Us 4 girls from Austin have had the best time cooling off.

Fellow Austenite currently in Traverse City, MI. Super cute small boating community on Lake Michigan with different festivals throughout the summer.
