.. I'm Canadian so i know we're good for a 30 days visa on arrival.

I have 2 questions:  It is still better to apply for the Visa online?

And since I'll be there for only 17 days/nights, should i just stay on 1 island and explore it better?

Any ideas on my best route?

Go to Gilli Meno. Calm, great diving and amazing sunsets over Bali and Agung.

No. No point applying for the online Visa. VOA is good.

It's absolutely hassle free. Bali in itself is so amazing that most people extend their 30 days visa to explore the island more. But if you have 17 days and want to explore more then you must visit Gili Islands for 1-2 (Can be done by boat) or maybe 3 days and Lombok island (Can be done by boat) for 2-3 days.

Totally depends on your liking and the kind of traveler you are. Cheers!

Don't miss: I do not have an International Driver's Permit, what is the best option for me to travel around in Bali?

If you apply online I think it's easier to extend.
