Does anyone have any quick drying towels at all?
Do beach towels dry faster than bath towels?
Very boring topic, but in winter my house is damp and even with dehumidifiers towels take ages to dry!

I bought microfibre type towels from decathlon. They are huge size and a kind of smooth ribbed fabric which doesn't on catch skin at all.

I'm seriously considering trying Turkish hamam towels. If anyone has tried them I'd be glad to hear reviews. I could ditch the tumble dryer as I only use it to fluff up towels now.
Microfiber but don't get the ones that are fluffy like a towel as they catch on any bits of loose skin etc, the ones that look like a chammy cloth are much better IMHO. I use them for camping as they take up so much less room.
For children there are v thin cape like options for putting on after swimming. They dry person, and dry really quickly ……..might be worth looking at.
I ditched all my thick heavy weight towels and bought the Tesco offers…..thinner but dry well, and not replaced them in three years.

I’ve got rid of big heavy towels, can’t afford the space they take in the washing machine and can’t afford to dry them, add that to they take too long and too much money to dry off the windows with condensation, also they smell if dried for too long,
I replaced with smaller sized, the worst quality towels I could buy, can almost see through them, the only ones that complained hadn’t yet seen the energy bills!
When my children were younger they had a bath robe but before putting them on towel dried with a guest size towel, not even the size of a standard hand towel, hardly any cost, no one knew any different!
I’ve even gone back now to towel drying with a flannel and wrapping in a towel afterwards!

I have Turkish Hammam towels for the van. They dry very quickly indeed.
In the winter, I bring them in to use in the house.

We use Dock and Bay ones and we love them! It takes a bit of getting used to patting your body dry rather than rubbing but they are fantastic. They dry really really quick and don't take up much space.
If you use a hair towel and dry off with a flannel first. Your towels will last longer before they need washing. I have thin beach towels. But use a think towelling gown so I don’t take my own advice.

Don’t use fabric softener! If you must, only use it infrequently. It coats the fibres and makes them take longer to dry. Alternatively, read the previous comments and try that.
We used beach towels in the winter for this reason. Old fashioned flannel dry before you get out the shower too so towels don’t get soaked x
