What's something I can eat to get my blood sugar up? its currently 57!
Depends what you have around- usually we use mini candy packets or fruit snacks, but I’ve used regular soda, syrup, juice and straight table sugar in a pinch… my kid gets loopy and argumentative when low so it’s a bartering process at times lol.. with stubborn lows we may treat a few times then add protein & fat like peanut butter or a chocolate milk.

Drink a glass of regular milk. The carbohydrates and protein together will bring it up without causing a major spike and the protein will help stabilizing it.
Anything. Liquid or quickly processed will work faster but will spike harder so best to have some kind of protein so you don’t roller coaster. I use packs of gummies bc they are my fav.

We usually do juice or candy, but really anything with sugar that absorbs quickly works. (Avoid things with high fat like chocolate, as that slows sugar absorption.)
When I was little and ended up in the ER due to super low blood sugars (as on seizures), my doctor told my mom to put a spoonful of sugar in a glass of orange juice when I started to drop.
In my opinion candies like sour patch kids or anything with that type of uh salty stuff coating the cabdie will help instantly I eat a handful of them and boom my sugar is up quickly.
