What is the worst way someone could die?

The best bit is that the lowdown comes from YOU. Round here, you are the influencer. You shape the board and make it great. We want you to get involved by writing posts and comments to inspire us, teach us, challenge us or simply make us laugh. The power is in your hands, literally.

In your opinion, what is the worst way someone could die?

In my little corner of the world, most of the people who die are sick and old. They die slowly. It is a very long, drawn-out process because the medical community keeps them alive as long as possible. Many times, they are on the verge of death, but pulled back -- drugs, medical interventions, surgery. Eventually, they cannot be helped even by surgery and chemotherapy. They are granted "hospice status," which means they are connected to a morphine drip. They drift in and out of consciousness and are lucid for only a few hours a day. And then, they are gone. I imagine my death will be of this type. This is surely not the worst way to die, but it is the typical modern way.
