Has anyone got a 20mm stone bench on their kitchen island?

I've seen a few pictures with 20mm benches used around the walls and 40mm on the island, but keen to see what 20mm looks like (trying to reduce costs).

Our not quite finished kitchen.

We have a 500mm overhang too. Only way this can be done is to have supports under the bench to 300mm. We have powder coated metal supports under the bench.

I personally prefer the 20mm look. I find it more modern and minimalist

20mm with a waterfall. It’s still a lot less

We don’t have an island but went with 20mm for our benches. I personally prefer it.

Our kitchen is not installed yet but we chose 20mm. I think the 40mm trend has passed for now (unless you super love it of course!)
