October half term; we get 2 weeks (23rd to 3rd).

Last year, we went to Butlin’s for 4 nights for the second week as it was a bargain, but they seem to have clocked on to more and more having that second week off. But locally, holiday clubs aren’t open, so looking for something again for 3-4nights.

We’re in Lancashire.

Any recommendations of somewhere to go that isn’t going to cost us hundreds?

Kids are 9 & 6.

My sister got a good deal at centre parcs when we had a different week at Easter.

The pools there are amazing too so if the weather isn't great you'll have something to do. Failing that Hoseasons, Haven and Parkdean but I'd go to one with good indoor facilities xx

Suggested: Does anyone have any idea what Sao Paulo is like on Easter?

Most places have this 2 weeks as more expensive as they know schools are off on different weeks around the country. I’m in Lancashire.

Family in West Yorkshire an greater Manchester usually have the opposite week to us.

As does a friend in Birmingham. We are going to Northumberland in what is your first week - the local schools there won’t be off until the week after.

Same with places like Scarborough / Whitby.

It’s a shame they’ve not gone for an extra week where all other schools are in to make it cheaper for you to find a holiday.

Try Tattersall lakes Nicola. It's Away resorts but all the caravans have hottubs. About 300 for the week if not peak and loads to do for kids xx
