I’m wondering what I can do to perhaps prevent myself from frowning at night!

Hello all, I would like some first world problem advice please. I am a female in my early to mid 40s and have realised that for some reason in the night when I’m sleeping, I frown all throughout the night!

I wake up with wrinkles in between my eyebrows which tend to fade ever so slightly throughout the day. I’m wondering what I can do to perhaps prevent myself from frowning at night.

I have seen crazy videos of people using sellotape on their faces at night but not sure I want to go down that route. Or is there anything I can do to incorporate something into my beauty regimen?

I do have some of those jade stones for the gua sha routine but never really find the time to do it. I have a little person and work full time. Needless to say I am exhausted in the evenings.

Please help! Thanks
Sara

I'm in my 50’s. I use anti wrinkle day/night cream. Been using for years. Also use arched pillow in bed .. do end up throwing on floor half way through the night.

As Corinne mentioned above, you need to look at why you are frowning. Are you having lots of vivid dreams which are impacting you, are you worrying about something specific, are you under a lot of pressure etc.

Don't miss: What are your tried and true methods of going back to sleep during the night?

Get a good lover so you're smiling in your sleep.

Do you have a silk pillowcase? That could help. Sleeping on your back also helps.

Botox is an extreme thing to start with. Once you start with it you have to keep it up.

You can get these forehead wrinkle things, feel like you can’t frown when you wear one. Think they called smoothies xx

Botox for sure. I constantly look like I’m frowning without it and it makes me look angry when I’m not  . Botox just smooths it out and makes me look less grumpy. I love it

Botox is best as a preventative thing, started on fine lines in your 20s and 30s. If your skin is great and line free everywhere else it should help your forehead but if you’re starting to show signs of age elsewhere (around the mouth etc) you could just look really odd if you start with Botox now. The flat forehead with crow’s feet and marionette lines is an odd combination.

Your best bet is to speak to a very good medical aesthetician - good being someone who hasn’t done a short correspondence course!

This is a totally unlicensed trade so get some recommendations and make sure you see their credentials and their work before you have any work done.

I am 35 and have done this for as long as I can remember being told or seeing photos my partner amusingly takes. I have loads of deep wrinkles on my forehead and actually day rest face do this without realising.

I've tried creams and that cold face roller stone but nothing has worked.
