Does anyone have ideas of meals with low or no carbs I could have for lunch and dinner?

I have a desk job and these carbs are wrecking my blood sugar.

My go to has been a can of tuna, some mayo, way too many pickles, coleslaw (fresh from a bag, just the cabbage), and other fixings (hot sauce, soy sauce, random cheeses...). That and pig skins.

Chicken cesar salad without the croutons. I don't even bolus for it. It keeps mr BG steady without dropping for hours.

A couple slices of deli hame wrapped around cheese slices/ a slice of turkey wrapped around American cheese slice, bologna around creme cheese, celery stuffed with creme cheese, fried zucchini rounds with sliced peppers and onion, diet Brooke squares, lettuce wraps with creme cheese and ham or lox, scrambled eggs with fried ham slice, low carb yogurt!

Make your own “lunchable” or mini charcuterie that is low in carbs and high in protein.

Meats and hard cheeses as well as a eggs are very low to no carb.

Your leafy vegetables are low carb. Other non starchy veggies are a good option also but the carbs will start to add up if you eat a lot of them.

Same with some nuts (pecans, walnuts and almonds are 5 grams or was for a 1 oz serving).

It may help to reframe what “meal” means to you.

“Grilled fish and vegetables” for example.

“Poached eggs” is now a meal to me, though i WILL cheat and throw it on a buttered english muffin but if i do the same thing consistently, it’s easy to treat. but it can also be just poached eggs and butter - eat 7 of them who cares!

As soon as we think of meals as “I need that salad from portillo’s” to feel satisfied, we make connections in our brain to cherry tomatoes, sugar oil (or what others call “salad dressing”..), a chunk of bread, pieces of CORN… is what we need in order to qualify as fed.

all of these things which i believe are devoid of good nutrients

Fish over rice - or even without rice - should be a “meal”.

Consider fruit as a better option for a “dessert”, I believe most fruits are worth the sugar.

You are probably on the right track. It takes work, and there are no shortcuts.
