Just wondering if anyone has anything you swear by that is affordable. Are there any options that don’t need a plumber?

Initially I’m tossing up a 3 way mixer like the ABI one pictured below but $700 seems like a lot for a tap.

We just got one put it, it was a puretec branded tap. It too was about $700 and we had a plumber install it but I do love it!

I think appliances online also had some but you need to check they also come with the filtration system and not just the tap.

I think as long as your tap is watermarked you are on the right track.

Then it just depends how many holes you want in the bench/sink and how many people are using it.. will you have to stop doing dishes dinner etc for someone to use the filtered water.

Also, the size of the hole in your sink/bench would potentially have to be modified for this type of tap

Don't miss: What should I put in my new kitchen?

we’ve got a high flow cold water filter, just attaches under the sink.

Was maybe $250 and then $50 for replacement filters -- were pretty happy, nothing on the whole house systems but we much prefer this to the benchtop filter we had.

Any mixer tap can be filtered. I've adapted countless taps to have a filter under the bench and not changed out the tap ware... Some houses have a slower flow rate when you do it though.

Useful: Any suggestions on mixer shower, towel hooks, sink mixer!

Try bathrooms direct. I bought nero tap ware recently from them.

I really think it is better to filter all the water coming into your house. Using an activated carbon filter, for instance, which are around $700 to install.

This will not only be good for everybody's health in the family, but will help preserve all your tapware as well.
