For those that have renovated a laundry did you create a specific space for laundry/washing baskets?

(not the hamper you put the dirty clothes in but the baskets you take your washing to the line with) we have only a small laundry but I’d love to incorporate a space to store it as it just sits on the bench currently.

Still in the planning stage but I’ve bought collapsible baskets so can store easily.

Our broom cupboard is in our laundry and hubby put a hook on back of cupboard door for basket.

We have this exact setup at home shelves with baskets on top like this pic I love it. I use it to store clean washing.

As soon as it’s washed I sort it into these baskets I have one basket for each person. When the baskets full the kids take to their room and put away.

If clothes haven’t been put away yet then they know they can also find clean washed clothes here.

My basket is in the drawer under the stacked washing machine.

When we renovated we had a 2 door cupboard below the under mount tub. I asked the plumber to install the plumbing to the rear as far as possible and on one side.

I got the carpenter to install the shelf high up so the baskets fit into the cupboard.

I did and chose woven wicker baskets from Big W. However they have not served us well as they go musty and mouldy with any damp clothes.

I’ll go for plastic baskets next time.

I have a collapsible laundry basket which I slide between dryer and washing machine. Perfect..

Yes. For clean washing. One basket per person and one for linen. Baskets from bunnings.

I made a small space next to my front loader for the collapsible washing basket.

Also, allows for both air circulation and room if the machine needs to be moved.
