Did some desert hiking and admired the art downtown while grabbing food.
We drove 4 hours to Page Arizona passing beautiful horses through Navajo Lands. Once in Page, we hiked the beautiful and iconic, Horseshoe Bend, saw Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell.
* Make sure you always travel with snacks, water, rent a hybrid vehicle or keep fuel above half in desert. Felt sorry for those stuck in traffic on our drive back traveling north bound.
* Page is best as a stop through or day trip. There's not much available for fine dinning or really anything of quality to eat after 9pm! It's a very small, quaint, sleepy, but peaceful little town. Not ideal to discover after a day of hiking & eating light then, 4 hr commute - Walmart supplied us with wine, waters, fresh cuts of steak, & veggies to prepare a nice, nourishing ,romantic dinner IN. It's a ghost town after 9 y'all.
After 2 days, we ventured up to Kanab Utah. Favorite destination there was Coral Pink Sands State Park! The dunes looked otherworldly like being transported to Naimbia or Egypt! Lots of other neat places but we were running short on time due to Vegas anniversary plans.
Cities within Arizona, Utah, & Nevada were all enjoyed in one 8 day trip!! A mix of flights and road trips! So incredibly grateful for the new memories.
Hubby & I visited family in Phoenix & Mesa Arizona for a few days recently
