Question for the runner's in the Community.
I'll be heading to London, Paris and Rome from the US in August. Any etiquette tips for running in those cities? Are there public restrooms and/or water bubblers? I plan on running just a few miles in each city early in the morning. Hoping for a Parkrun in London.

I would plan on being self sufficient as much as possible too., but research the route beforehand. Bonus - if you’re in town over a weekend you can search for local races! I did a 5K in London and a 10k in Paris.
Very well organized and much cheaper than races in the states. Makes for a good locals experience and gets you off the tourist path.

Love running in Paris. Go in the morning when the streets aren't too busy and just be polite to other sidewalk users. Tons of water fountains around; restrooms hit or miss but carry a few euro in case you need one.
When traveling I usually don't run more than 6ish miles a day and for me for that distance I don't need either water or restroom, but be prepared for what your body will need! I loved running in Paris because in the parks where there are other runners I was always passing men who looked much younger and fitter than me...
I assumed it was because they were smokers and I was not, lol, but whatever it was, the boost to my runner's ego was excellent
Don't miss: We are going to Paris for 3 days after our Rhine river cruise – What should be on our must do list?

I had a very hard time finding public restrooms in some european cities, especially early in the morning on runs. The ones in the train stations required payment, and I wasn't carrying cash. even the parks that had bathrooms listed on maps had them chained off.
