Any advice? (currently the wildfire is around an hour from where we would be staying) what's the likelihood things will be better by then? How would Insurance help us?

So anxious, first holiday on a plane in about 10 years with ASD kids so need to know everything x

I don’t guarantee many things.

However, I would guarantee that the situation will be much better in October, and you won’t notice a thing.

Things will be absolutely fine by then. Temperatures have already dropped. Repair and rebuild has already started. An hour away, you wouldn't even know about them. Imagine a large fire an hour away from where you live now, would you be worried?

Don't miss: Sadly our holiday to Rhodes got cancelled we usually stay in Pefkos and love it there

Think oct wee while away and think when they get on top these situations and start to get control and things have calmed down you will be fine and if it is still a problem your tour operator will advise you to either cancel and full refund or offer chance to change your destination don't cancel yourself just now or you could loose out especially if lot has been paid.
