Trading in our old Xbox 360 for a newer Xbox or PlayStation for our 8 year old

.. but don’t know where to start. Xbox or PlayStation? I think the games are cheaper for Xbox or is it worth the extra for PS5? If Xbox, which one?

PlayStation has a better selection and choice for games that can be played solo and without Internet connection. Like rachet and clank or god of war ectThey both have the same popular online games tho call of duty, GTA, fortnight, Minecraft.

Then xbox has xbox game pass which is a monthly subscription that allows him to download from a long list of games all in the price. Which has fortnight minecraft in the list. So u wouldn't have 2 pay for the games individually

Mostly the preference would come from friends he would want 2 play with online.

My household is xbox but I like the story games on PlayStation.

We are an xbox household -- I have children ranging from 7 to 16 plus my husband and there is something for everyone to play.

We pay for the game pass so very rarely pay for games.

We have a ps4 and Xbox one … Xbox one has more games for kids and a lot more games on the game pass.
