.. as we have a big area of timber floors… tiles in bathrooms… I don't mind vacuuming but trying to wash and dry the large area of floors with pets and family is tricky and I would love the robot to wash floors at night while we all sleep… any suggestions would be helpful

Thank you

Ecovacs, the top of the range has spinning mop pads, has clean and dirty water tanks in the dock plus dust bag. So it self empties when full, cleans the mop pads intermittently during the cleaning process, and hot air dries them when done.

It’s the best.

I use mine religious to vacuum. Less often to wash. It is my most loved appliance. We have 3 cats and 2 kids.

I have an ECOVAc. It’s absolutely hopeless for mopping. You can only put cold water in and no detergent so it’s pointless.

I have the Dreame L10 ultra - honestly my BFF.
Vacuums and mops every day.

The answer is probably yes, but have you looked at a Koh mop or something similar? Particularly if cost of the robot one is a limiting factor for you. I’ve got young kids, pets, a husband… who don’t get the memo that it’s mop the floor day…

The Koh mop dries in 1-2 minutes tops (not exaggerating). I don’t spray a lot so it’s not like the floor gets saturated, but my floors are nice and clean afterwards and dry very fast. I probably use 4-5 pads for the whole house each mop, but I have a large area to clean.

Does the mopping action of these make the floor very “wet”? I have bamboo flooring and am also conscious of not using too much water so I spray mop. I recently picked up a hack from this group about using warm water and vinegar to remove spray product build up. Worked a treat!!!

It’s not going to mop your full house properly it’s more like a spot mop you’ll still need a good mop.

Yes, our roborok does a fantastic job on wood floors, tiled bathrooms, life changing. Might be noisy for night time cleaning.

We had an iRobot vac/mop.

We had a dirty line around the skirtings that I would have to scrub weekly when I done my weekly proper mop.

I threw it out l!

We had white tiles so you could see the dirt.

It never mopped properly.

I had the ecovacs that mops and vacuums at the same time it's fantastic when it works but when they play up they are pain in the butt.

We have a Ecovac Deebot and with 2 adults, 1 toddler, cat and dog it's the best thing we have appliance wise.

It vacuums and then washes the timber floorboards every night.

My partner and I have bought a Dreame bot W10 and have been using it daily for vacuuming and twice weekly for mopping for the past 10 months and it’s honestly amazing.

In its dock station it has a waste water tank and fresh water tank, it cleans itself and tops itself and tops itself up with clean water during cycles when needed. All you need to do is empty the waste water tank and refill the fresh water tank which it notifies you of on the app!

100% recommend.

I have a Xiaomi Roborock S5 which is a few years old now. It claims to mop but really it’s more of a pathetic swiffer type effect. I don’t really like it. Love it as an actual vacuum cleaner though. I heard Xiaomi have brought out a new model that has improved upon the mopping.

I didn’t look into it much as it’s quite expensive. You could have a google and see what you think.

We have the iRobot Roomba as a vacuum but I chose not to get the mop upgrade as we have a large area of floor and I didn’t want to continually be filling water up or removing dirty. The vacuum is amazing tho.
