We are leaving for a Greek isle cruise in a few weeks. One of our stops is Naples, Italy. We booked the Amalfi coast tour through Royal Caribbean. However, they canceled it. Has anyone done tours in this area not offered through the cruise lines? What ones would you recommend?

Go on Cruise Critic. You can join tours with people on your cruise who are booking their own.

I would personally save the Amalfi Coast for when you have more time, assuming it’s just the day you have in Naples.

I’d either stay in Naples and eat great pizza, visit churches and the castle, etc.

Or I’d take the train to Pompeii and/or Herculaneum. Definitely worth seeing and easy get to from Naples by train (more like the subway than the big trains). When my husband and I went, we just took the train ourselves for a few dollars and downloaded a Rick Steves walking tour for Pompeii that we listened to on my phone. Worked perfectly!

Don't forget to take a look at: Wondering if anyone can recommend a good tour guide in Italy!

Take a day trip to Capri or Ischia. Ferry takes you to either.
