Does Octopus only accept DD?
I'm about to switch to Octopus but I can't see the option to pay for the bill other than DD. Does Octopus only accept DD?
I used to pay direct debit didn't like amount credit was building up had £350 returned to my bank and now I pay on a receipt of bill which doesn't effect your tariff I was with Utilita they put there prices up because I didn't want to pay by DD.
You can pay as and when via the app, they also take payments via backs/faster payments but it took some getting this info out of them.
If you haven’t already used a referral code, don't forget this group has it's own and you'll get £50 into your account as well.

DD is the best method. If you want to settle the bill in fill, you just pay extra.
If you do SO, they may not accept, as they will want full amount settled.

Look for a bit where it says one off payment and just put in how much you want to pay that's what I do.
I got the referral money when I switched from my mams account referral and i pay £50 a week onto my account no direct debit. It is doable. They are very helpful on the phone if you talk to them.
I get paid weekly so if they took a full £200+ out of my account at the start of the month I'd be stuck so they were more than happy for me to pay every week.
Good luck hope you get sorted I set mine up over the phone with them if that helps x
Don't forget to take a look at: Octopus saying that my electric meter is at the end of its life and they need to install a smart meter
