Anyone have their greenhouse set up in their garage?

There's plenty of room for a 10×7×7 plastic covered tunnel frame and I'd have to supplement light with grow lamps (there are 2 windows but still not enough light). My main concern is keeping it warm enough.

I'm in zone 5.

I've read about bubble wrap and heat sinks but not sure if I want my compost in my attached garage.

Any advice is appreciated and this forum has been so inspiring!

How cold does your attached garage get? That's going to be the determining factor on what you use to heat it. I agree that compost isn't a good choice.

Bubble wrap is a good way to keep heat in, not to generate it.

Just make an insulated box that the light will heat they are called grow tents.

Bubble wrap is not going to do very much good at all.

Better off insulating your garage and insulating the garage door now if you buy the foam board that's 3 in thick that's real foam not styrofoam but foam and build yourself a box that would be perfect it's $35 a sheet at Lowe's and home Depot those kinds of places.

Don't miss: I want to turn my garage into a livable space/conservatory
