Hi green friends! New to the greenhouse idea here so I came for advice. I have a few of these style green houses. How do you keep them sturdy outside with the wind? How do you keep them warm in the spring?
Thanks so much!

I use these inside to get my plants started at the end of February. I would think they would deteriorate out in the weather.
I started with one of those! Secure it to the ground however you can. I went so far as to use a heat lamp and a sleeping bag on top when it got too cold. I also made my own window for ventilation.
It was a ton of work, but it did work for me.
Good luck!

Doubt you'll be able to keep them very warm outside. Keeping them zipped will help but the plastic is just too thin and the bottom is open. You could wrap them in horticulture grade bubble wrap to see if that helped.
In terms of support, I'd put them against a wall and then anchor them down straps and stakes.

We used one for a couple of years and we live on top of a hill with high winds. We zip tied the metal frame to our pool fence and had no problem keeping it from flying away… surprisingly, the plastic never tore either!
I always kept a small bucket of water at the bottom of it which helped keep it moist, plus regular spritzing, had great results.
Also, check out: I made my first air pruning bed out of scrap wood from an old deck – Just looking for suggestions!

They are good just to get plants used to being out. I put in t-post and tied the legs to them so didn’t blow over. But not a year round thing.
The plastic cover last about a year in sun and wind.

I used one in my basement to start the seedlings. I rolled up cover enough to let some warm air blow in as the basement was cold.
I also purchased grow lights from Amazon and used a couple in it.
Seedlings germinated nicely.
Don't forget to take a look at: What percentage is everyone using for shade cloth?
