Need suggestions on area to stay ,and does it make sense to hire a private guide every day.

Any info will be helpful.

We had a private guide and I honestly loved having him - he was great.

We loved Banyan Tree! We didn't get a guide but we're only there a few days on our way to Koh Samui.

Stay in a luxury hotel and arrange to have a car/driver each day.

How well travelled are you?

BKK is super easy to navigate if you are comfortable using public transport - no guide is needed, all the main sights are clustered around the river area.

We stayed at the Hilton and Marriott pre-COVID.

We used their public transportation system (train) to navigate our way around. We also hired a tuk tuk one day, which was interesting and an experience!
