Doing a bathroom: Any recommendations/pros /cons on the wall panels instead of tiles?!

We have panels and I love them - so much easier to clean and won't ever have to decorate again.

I was told by the man who did my bathroom, that over time damp gets behind the panels and starts to smell become a danger.

Don't know how true this is.

We have panels, the rest is tiled. Be sure to have them fitted by someone who knows what they are doing, all the proper strips to join them and properly sealed around the shower tray. We’ve had ours 7 years,no problem with damp or smell!

I think there are different thicknesses, don’t have them to thin.

I'm a big fan of the wall panels- had mine for 10 years and they still look new- easy to clean.

We have shower panels on one wall and love them. None of the worry of dirty grout, easy to clean.

Minor issue I've had, which i wasnt expecting - the suction cups for the wall units to put shampoo bottles etc, that used to attach well to my tiles, don't stick on the panels!
