Do I have to switch all the current accounts and saving accounts to the new bank in order to get the reward? Can I just switch one of the accounts?

I only changed my current account and got the reward.

It’ll depend on the banks t’s and c’s of the new account usually it’s something like they want £1000 being paid in each month or 4 or 5 DDs going out, I think each bank is different however they are similar.

I recently switched from chase, and had to close both my savings account and current account before I could switch.

I tried with just closing the current account, but it wouldn’t let the switch go through until I had closed both.

It seems with them that you can’t have a savings account without a current account, but not all banks are the same I believe.

Don't forget to take a look at: The direct debit for my car tax was returned because I didn't have enough money on the bank

You can just swop the one account, if you just want the bonus it's worth setting up a new current account with your existing bank, add 2 direct debits to it & then switch. Once you recover the bonus you can then switch again to another bank.

It's easier to use fixed small direct debits such as TV licence, mobile phone or anything that's set amount every month so you can put the bill amount in& be sure its covered.
