Good morning doctors. My almost 3months old baby (2months, 2weeks) now sleeps through the night. Should I wake her up after 2-3hrs to feed her or let her sleep through?
Also she farts a lot, is there something I am doing wrong to cause that?
There is no need to worry as what you have described is normal.
However, your baby should be sucking at least every 3 - 4 hours and sucking for at least 10 - 20 minutes with each feed. But if the baby is not sucking every 3 - 4 hours, you can feed her even if asleep. Babies can suck in sleep and if not sucking, you can gently tap their feet to remind them, and they will keep sucking.
As for the fart, Fart is normal phenomenon.
It is normal end-products of the digestive process and some of bacterial in the intestine on the waste causes the gas production. It is nothing to worry about.
