I’m having a sliding door built in wardrobe installed, and there are 2 types of drawers I can choose from. Both types have the same internal measurements, the only difference is the front panel/ way they pull open.
I’d love some help in deciding which one to go with. I don’t know if there would be much of a difference between them, but I’m really looking for functionality, and ease of use.
Thinking maybe the handles will be easier to pen and close?
I have pain in my wrists and back so really need to make my life as easy as possible.
Option 1: shorter front panel so you can see internals slightly
Option 2: Fully enclosed with Handles
Also: what aluminium frame colour is best for the sliding doors? I am getting both matte white doors and mirror doors like the photo below.
Should I choose Brushed light silver or white? I have an example of the white finish pictured below.
I have white walls and the room is quite small, so I was thinking white would look the best.
My house styling is MCM btw
What aluminium frame colour is best for the sliding doors?
Go with the gap at the top for 2 reasons. 1. You get ventilation through your drawers and 2. You don't lose drawer depth due to the depth of the handles.
I would go the gaps and white, because you will get some ventilation and you have doors in front to hide any messy bits (some people just shove stuff in and you have a bit of overflow) and white to just match in because you don't want the tracks and frames to be a feature.
Option 1 is suited more to mcm style. Also handles over time can loosen and possibly damage your drawers especially if the doors hit the handles if the drawer is open slightly.
The less is best approach to drawers for wardrobe.
