Thinking of exploring Egypt in winter break. 10-11 days in total 2-3 days in Cairo, 3-4 days in sharam and 3 nights River Nile cruise. This is our first time in Egypt. Please share your recommendations for itineraries.

I know weather will be good in Cairo n Sharam does anyone know if river Nile cruise is a good idea or not?

For now I am planning to do everything separately on my own but if anyone comes across a good holiday package Please let me know. With or without flights.

Thanks in advance.

Love Nile Cruise!

Have done it twice! Have a look on Travelzoo, they have deals on 1 week cruise, 1 week stay (Hurghada).

We've done the full excursion package on cruise twice, well worth the money. Next time we won't, we'll just do Abu Simble.

I did the Nile cruise and stay. 3 day cruise isn't long enough to explore temples, and historical sights. We did 7 night cruise, 4 nights in Luxor ( stayed at St George Sonestta, explored karnataka ourselves, and did the mummification museum) Then went to hurghada for 2 nights, then back to Luxor.

Its amazing,

Don't forget to take a look at: Any dos or don'ts when holidaying in Egypt?

You need longer on the Nile cruise. You won’t see much in 3 days. We did 3 days Cairo, 7 nights Nile cruise, some people then went on to Hurghada for 3-4 days.

My grandparents did it years ago. They have passed since but they loved it. Aw you should have seen the photos. My grandad actually got a picture he took of the sunset on the Nile professionally blown up and framed and I swear you would have thought it wasn't a real place. The colours, omg. I've been to Egypt twice in Hurghada and the sky at night was just stunning. I would have loved to have been on a cruise watching that. I say go for it!

Even if just for the eye-gasm you might experience.

Even if you hate it, it's a couple days and your back at the hotel and it's a story to tell at the very least  xx
