Croatia or Greece - looking for recommendations please

Wish list:

• Nice hotel (bit of luxury if poss) with pretty surroundings.
• Close to a beautiful beach with clear waters.
• Restaurants/bars within walking distance but nothing too rowdy.
• Pretty streets with local shops to browse in an evening.

2 girls, age 13 & 16 next year. Younger loves slides, oldest hates busy / noisy pools / hotels & loves the beach. I would love a touch of luxury without having to remortgage.

Been looking at Croatia or Greece, any recommendations please.

I can recommend Poreč. We stayed at the Isabella Valamar Collection Island Resort. This hotel would meet most of your requirements.

Valamar Meteor in Makarska near Split. Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera in Srebreno near Dubrovnik.

Westin at Costa Navarino in Greece. There are a couple of others in the same area with a higher price bracket too depending on your budget. Two pretty towns nearby Pylos and Gialova and voidikilia beach which is picture perfect.

The hotel is set within a bay and very picturesque.

Hotel Croatia, amazing. in Cavtat. 5 mins from Dubrovnik airport. Absolutely beautiful town.

there are really no actual beaches with sand in croatia, the sea is so clear though. So depends if you want a sandy beach or if a stoney beach is ok then croatia is lovely... lots if places to choose from. I did a write up of different areas and what they are like if its helps give you some ideas. we went about 3 different times last yr and travelled around.
