Can anyone tell me the best way to store Coriander please?

I love Coriander, but storing it can be very hit and miss. I usually keep it in a tupperware in the fridge and while it keeps ok, it still deteriorates quickly. Can anyone tell me the best way to store it please. Any tried and tested methods that you can pass on that stops the wastage and keeps it fresher for longer.

PS: freezing it is not an option as I use it in salads not just cooked food.

If you ever fancy growing your own it's really simple and really productive. We ended up giving bunches of it away on FB as we had so much.

I agree though with treating it like cut flowers. Or freezing in ice cube trays.

Wrap it in kitchen roll.
Wet it then wrap it in cling film.
It will stay fresh for days.

I keep a lot of my cut herbs (bought in supermarket) in a glass jar with water... I just use a jam jar! Sometimes they start to get roots and then I plant them in a pot with soil.

Like you, I love coriander but I find it’s the hardest herb to keep/grow. I buy coriander plants from the supermarket and I read a tip somewhere that said take the plant out of the plastic bag and put it on a saucer and water it from the bottom.....put water on the saucer and let the plant drink it up.

Don’t put water directly into the soil. And I found that this definitely helps my coriander live longer.

Useful: What’s this about your not supposed to store milk in the fridge door? Anyone?

Wrap it in kitchen towel and put it in zip lock bag, roll it and squeeze out the air ...mine lasts good 2 weeks.

We freeze it - we tend to only use in curry’s so it’s fine to use from frozen in pestle and mortar. Then it sprinkles on from frozen for the top.
