I’m thinking about using bricks to floor my greenhouse
Question for the forum, I’m thinking about using bricks to floor my greenhouse. Would they help hold heat better than like mulch or just dirt?
No house yet still stalking. Thinking of digging a Walipini. Zone 5, northern Indiana. Anyone out there gave one?
7b, I have brick and I like it, lets water out and weeds away. I haven't done a real temp check, but my greenhouse 8x8 stays nice with a small electric heater. We tamped the soil and put sand down before the brick
What zone?
I'm in zone 9b. I use pea gravel so I can water down when really hot to increase humidity.

If you have more net heating days you will want as much mass as practical for your floors but insulated from the ground below it. If you have a net number of cooling days you will want as much mass as practical thermally connected to the ground
