The worst thing about dieting is most likely the pressure to conform to traditional notions of masculinity. You know that society's expectations like abs and six packs etc.

It's even worse when you are in a social gathering where you are the only one, with almost everything against your dietary goal being served. For us, the rule is break the rules sometimes but don't over do it, else you get to become worse.

The emotional toll of self-image and body standards can be burdensome, as can the feeling of missing out on enjoyable foods.

Don't miss: Can anyone recommend a good gut health diet that works for mainly weight loss but also gut health? Phatt Diet? CSIRO?

Dieting is not a thing. it's not a fad. it's not something you do. Diet is just that, it's what you consume. Diet is a lifestyle.

All diets work whether. Don't care which one it is it will work HOWEVER they are not sustainable. Most require you to very low calories and put you in a huge deficit that can't be sustained. Restrict you food options so much that you will binge eat those items when you get the chance.

Society has been so engrained with fast food, highly processed shit that if you eat whole foods like chicken, beef, rice, potatoes, veggies, fruit etc. people think that you are on a diet.

Explore these too: What is stopping you from being consistent on your weight loss journey?

Counting calories. Don’t do it. Too much work. Intermittent fasting is king. She’d 50 off me in less than a year. Come see me for some coaching on it. Trust me you won’t regret it.
