What type of brushes and combs do you reccomend?

So I'm at the vet currently with my floof Sabre for possible uti. One other thing mentioned was his matts. Never had an issue before but here we are... hes a tabby maincoon mix. What type of brushes and combs do you reccomend? He is medium to long hair. More long on his belly.

My daughter gets it for her Maine coon and Siberian coon cats, and they no longer have hairballs are any issues with their stomach?
