What mats you guys use on the bottom of your pens?
This is going to be a process of elimation unfortunately. I've had 2 buns that absolutely devoured (not swallowed, thank goodness) anything and everything I've put down in the way of padding. And 1 that had no interest in chewing anything.
My resolve to save my floors while giving some comfort to their paws was plexiglass on the floor covered with cheap fleece blankets layered.
That gave them enough padding and I could throw the blankets away as they developed holes while also protecting my floors.
It was still messy, but they weren't actually eating the blankets, just chewing on them.

We have vinyl flooring and lay a fleece blanket down in her pen and inside her hutch which remains open.
We use a floor rug. It works for the most part except as mentioned above, our bun found some of the edges and chewed holes.
