Can I ask those who have LED down lights, did you choose warm white or cool white?

Wall colour is Dulux natural white. we haven’t chosen floor coverings yet (a makeover/renovation).

We will have some pendants in kitchen, dining and entrance so it won’t be our only light source.

I guess I’m so used to warm white globes in my lamps (which I have in every room :D ). But our electrician says cool white is best.

Please help!

Warm. It’s very bright.
Cool white is like you are being beamed up by a UFO.

Cool white to avoid the yellow of warm white.

I have Dulux Natural white on all my walls. A few of my bulbs were cool white, they made the room stark and sterile with a very light blue hue. Switch to warm white and what a difference it made.

Gorgeous and a lovely glow.

Explore these too: How do you choose pendant lights over an island?

Warm defimitely I too hate the cold clinical look of cool, especially in lamps.

Anyway, you will find the warm modern leds are not yellow like they used to be.

Warm but in the latest down lights it’s the flick of a switch so you can always change them back.

We are building.

Our pre-start consultant showed us some that were surprisingly neutral. They were labeled “cool” but actually not as stark as I feared. The warm ones just looked too yellow.

I will be having warm white lamps as needed. In reality lamps are what we use most outside of bathroom and kitchen anyway.

Also, check out: I am trying to find pendant lights for above a 3.5 meter island bench

Cool white is too clinical, sterile, it makes people look sick. In bathrooms , kitchens and utility rooms we use daylight, and in bedrooms and lounges etc we use warm.

I have Dulux natural white and ‘warm’ down lights, timber floors and high ceilings.

Our down lights has a choice - you just move the switch at back to change from warm to cool.
