My daughter is recommending that I start a Facebook Group for building an audience for my work

A supportive board for writers at all levels to discuss writing topics, debate burning issues related to publishing, To publicise your novel. And to seek support of every kind in helping you to become a better writer.

I don’t know how much more I can do. I have a blog, I make YouTube videos, I post a to TikTok, I’m trying to produce more of my writing. This is so frustrating trying to juggle all of this. Am I the only one who feels like this?

Yes it is. I do one day writing, one day social media/graphics, one day editing/submitting, repeat.

That helps me give what I’m doing my full attention & not getting burnt out.

Don't miss: I'm trying to figure out TikTok & wondering if it's better to have a business account or creator account as an author!

I am in the same place and it is very overwhelming. It seems endless to get to the part where you actually finish anything and get feedback.

Lots of pressure, you are not alone.

I completely agree that having a well rounded online presence is necessary and takes a lot of work. Next to impossible for just one person and even if you manage, some area will suffer, I'm sure. I was actually contemplating offering services like this to writers. Would this be something that you would be willing to hire out for?

I'm curious.

A year before I published, I created multiple platforms. Through trial and error, I discovered which ones work best for my brand, genres, and reader demographics. I focus on those three.

As long as connections with readers, potential readers, and members of the writing community occurs consistently and generates good sales, I’m happy. I never succeeded in attracting readers to the other platforms like my blogs and my website.

They’re there, but they’re stagnant for now.

Explore these too: Can I create a Facebook account for a pen name?

I'd love to have a chat with you! Always a writer, and former marketer.

No marketing based business now but love books so happy to have a quick chat to offer you insight.

I tried a Facebook page and got a lot of trolls. I only do Instagram and once in a while do an Ad for $20. Been doing ok. Don’t get frustrated. Eventually, you’ll find something that works.

Figure out where your intended audience spends the most time and focus your efforts there. Apply that whole 80/20 principle. If 80% of the output comes from 20% of the input, find that most beneficial 20% and roll with it.

The time saved can be spent writing, which is arguably the most important bit anyway.

It's best to do what you know best and are already doing in my opinion. I tried TikTok. But just have never really liked the app much. I stick to Facebook and Instagram for now.
