Can anyone recommend a pair of walking shoes or trainers that are good for wide toes?

I've tried mountain warehouse and karrimor but the seams on both caused calluses on my little toes making it painful to walk. I do between 10 and 15 thousand steps a day, mostly pavement walking.

NO SKETCHERS please.

Thank you

Merrell ones are a bit wider at the toe, without being wider everywhere. My little toes get pushed in and under in a lot of trainers and hiking boots, so I need more room in the toe box, but "wide fit" ones are too loose in other places, like around the ankle.

Merrell have been great. If you need wide everywhere, you have a good amount of choice. Regular but with a wider toe box, give Merrell a try. Good luck.

I tried so many different pairs before I found these.

Don't miss: Trainers, sandals, or shoes: Anyone found a cheaper brand which is just as good for comfort?

This will seem crazy but might work, cut the toes off a pair of stockings, put over toes before putting on shoes, either no socks or with socks, toes will slide instead of rub in shoes.

Might work.

Some of the Vans range. I'm ok in their MTE 2 which are insulated for bad weather. They're sold as unisex.

I also had a pair of New Balance that fit really well.

Go to a good sports shop where there's someone able to help find the right fit.

Explore these too: Is it so unacceptable for your teen girl to use her dad’s stuff (clothes and shoes)?

Have you tried buying your footwear from the men's section instead? I buy my running trainers from the men's selection as I find them more generous width wise, you might find the same with walking shoes/boots.
