My 2 year fixed gas/electric is coming to an end soon with Scottish power. Advice and recommendations please for best service providers?

I'm with Scottish Power.

I didn't find any cheaper tariff when my fix ended, other than the standard tariff everyone is paying. I looked at their fix and it's a variable one. Not only does it cost a bit more than the standard tariff it's also still subject to industry price rises. Plus £100 exit fees for each fuel. Which all seems a big con to me.

So, I've stayed put and just give my meter readings every month so I don't have any nasty surprises.

Don't miss: I want to ask about gas and electricity bills in U.K.

I would stay put for the time being. I am with SP too and not had any problems.

You only hear the bad reviews, and all suppliers have bad reviews. There are only a few fixed tariffs around at the moment and they all charge a high price for leaving.

I myself will wait till there are more on offer.

Go on martin Lewis money saving expert, there is a calculator you can use which tells you if a certain deal is better than the standard capped rate.

Mine ended too it worked out the same of cheaper to go onto their standard variable.

I'm waiting until a good deal come out from anywhere then you can switch without having to buy my way out of a contract.

Explore these too: We got an electric shower and I’ve realised that is spiking so high!
