3 bed semi and no visible signs of damp but I do dry laundry inside over winter and I have asthma.

Digital thermometer says on average around 70% humidity and noticed when wet/humid or if washing drying on the heated rail that can go to 80%.

Thinking of Meaco as trusted brand, looking at 10/12L one and I’d use it upstairs in spare room where I dry laundry.

I’m guessing I could probably do with one downstairs too. I can’t lift very heavy items health wise so don’t want one I’d have to move between floors.

If any recommendations I’d be grateful, I’ll look at Argos too as got some nectar points I could use towards one.

I have this one Meaco dry abc 12L, do all my indoor drying with it, it has a laundry button which runs a pre-set time, works very well and cost pennies to run. (in a small room with door shut).

I purchased this one at the end of September and I’m really happy with it, I can’t believe how much water it has removed from my home!

Ebac is your best bet, bit more expensive but I’ve had one for years, they have a smart feature which adapts to your environment so only runs when required.

4 or 5 year warranty and all made in UK.

Explore these too: We finally managed to buy a dehumidifier.. But–

I’d recommend getting as big a capacity tank as you can. My 12L gets full over night quite often, I wish I got a bigger one to allow it to keep working/ need to empty it less often.

I got 12L blyss from screwfix on monday and it's been bloody brilliant.

Download Screwfix app (first time users) and get 10% off code ☺️ humidity has generally been 73% in my front room and in 8 hours it took 2L out of there.

Got a Senelux 12l from Amazon this time last year and just started putting it on again.

Great at bringing down humidity and drying washing. 139.99 just now I think.

If it’s for drying washing only in 1 room, then your thinking is spot on  if you want for whole property minimum 21 litres…

Got the 12L energy saving one as it was recommend and it's really good. Bulky though and it doesn't like it if it gets too cold.

My partner doesn't like it for drying laundry as it seems to remove the fabric conditioner smell.
