Hi, Can someone help with this. I’d like to buy one but need one that isn’t going to cost a lot to run. Please can someone point me in the right direction?

TIA.

Compare the wattage of each one you’re looking at. Should be in the description of the product somewhere. This will tell you exactly how much it will cost to run.

Check the wattage. 1kw will cost 34p an hour plus daily standing charge, roughly 50p a day

Lakeland do a whole range of heated airers. And eBay often sell reconditioned ones a bit cheaper

Find the wattage and use your unit cost to work out how much it costs per hour. 1000w is 1 unit. Heated airers are around the 300w mark so roughly a third of a unit would be an approximate calculation in that case. Check the model you are interested in to find out for sure

It's swings and roundabouts. If it's cheap to run, it will take longer to dry.

Lakeland ones are fantastic. I have had one for four years and are so economical. I have just bought a second and a cover which speeds up the drying even more.

Well worth the investment - buy quality and you only buy once
