Hello Guys, I am travelling the first time alone and currently I am in Peru. I am planning to do the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu by my own without agency. I have already booked a day ticket to Machu Picchu on 25th of November.

Is there anyone who did it alone too and could recommend anything or has some advice for me.

I also would appreciate it to find a hiking buddy.

Greetings!
Malcus

the Inka trail is indeed only allowed with a certified guide. Other nice option is Choquequirao trek

No info on that but if you are not walking out, I highly recommend a few days in the sacred valley with local transport rather than the train. Lots to do and see

You can’t do the Inca trail without a guide. However you can do the salkantay track alone. No guide needed there
