Hi Everyone! My wife and I will be taking a cruise in February from Singapore to Tokyo. Aside from Garden by the Bay, what are the must do things? We have 2 1/2 days there.

TIA

I recommend Haw Par Villa (free, self paced but I think they also offer free tours which I’d recommend) and the Battle Box (get tickets in advance, recommend the full tour that includes the surrounding area- can book on their website). Both offer fascinating explorations into Singapore history and culture - and not in a boring way.

My parents lived in SG for 6 years and I spent a lot of time there as well- these are my favorite recommendations, both take a few hours each, not more than half a day.

1. Stroll Haji Lane where you will find interesting colorful buildings, shops and restaurants 2. Have a drink at 1 Altitude sky bar at sunset. The beauty of it is that it overlooks the Marina Bay Sands so you get that in your 360 view as opposed to being at the Sands itself. There is a charge to go up but I believe it entitles you to a free drink. 3. Make a reservation at National Kitchen by Violet Oon. The restaurant is actually in the National Gallery and kind of a hidden secret. The food and atmosphere are out of this world. We got lucky without a reservation and got the last 2 seats at the bar but I would not count on it. HAVE FUN!
